🚨 Brigg NPT Conducts Speed Checks – B1211 Brigg Road, Melton Ross 🚨

This morning, officers from Brigg Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out roadside speed checks on the B1211 Brigg Road, Melton Ross, within the 40mph zone.

This stretch of road sees frequent crossings by heavy plant equipment and HGVs between business sites. These vehicles are slow-moving and cannot clear the road quickly — which is exactly why the speed limit is in place.

A number of near misses have been reported at this location, highlighting the real danger posed by speeding vehicles.

📊 A total of 63 vehicles were checked using a calibrated speed gun.
⚠️ 4 drivers have been reported for exceeding the speed limit.
🚗 The fastest recorded speed was 54mph — well above the 40mph limit.
